AROMASONG
PACKAGE DESIGN / VISUAL IDENTITY / BRANDING / TRANSMEDIA
DESCRIPTION
aromasong is a family-owned salt company that specializes in the remedies and healing properties of salt sourced from the dead sea.
RECOGNITION :
ARTCENTER HILLSIDE GALLERY
BACKGROUND
the company’s founder, danny, battled his daughter sarah’s eczema for years only to be disappointed in typical remedies. they discovered that over 21 minerals in dead sea salt can nourish, hydrate the skin, and heal stressed muscles and body joints. this revelation was the start of the discovery in researching how the dead sea salt can aid in healing his daughter’s skin condition. this journey ended up being the catalyst for
the continuous growth of the aromasong salt company.
GOALS
create a concept that visually connects with their promises of healing, maintain consistency across all bath products and use this project
as an opportunity to revive the core of their company, rather than
a complete brand renewal.
CONCEPT
aromasong features the immersive, embodied experience of the bathing ritual, curating a personal selection
of healing bath salts. the salts would transform the bath into an intimate sanctuary, where illusionary
fragrances weave a spell of allure, drowning deep into the ocean of tempting aroma. along with aromasong’s twisting visual elements and dark imagery, it combines sensual essences and textures, crafted meticulously
with an apothecarian touch.
the renewed logo illustrates a rounder, yet elegant feel, creating a
sense of calm atmosphere. the letter ‘g’ was customized to align with
the fluid features of each letterform.
THE PACKAGING
by emphasizing the fluid forms of the shoreline and letting the bright
hues of blue shine throughout the product system, it allows the user
to become immersed in the world of aromasong and its healing benefits.
POSTERS
TRANSMEDIAPROJECTION ON SHEER FABRIC
i had the opportunity to create an in-store installation / projection by using transparent fabric, visual
elements of the ocean waves and salts bubbling up to the surface of the bath. i incorporated a more
diverse range of hues, ranging from a soft purple to an intense, deep green.
PROCESS
this project went through many rounds of iterations and various different concepts.
