DESCRIPTION

clio is a korean cosmetics company that sells makeup, skincare, hair, and body care products. the company was founded in 1993 by han hyun-ok and various other professional makeup artists. clio's products are known for being easy to use, stylish, and having bright, pastel colors.




OLD / CURRENT WEBSITE
their current website appears generic and not very exciting to explore. they have a lot of products with beautiful packaging, but the website makes the items look cheaper and less appealing.




REDESIGN CONCEPT
my concept is to focus on the design theme of their newest product release, ‘the high glow’ cushion foundation. with this item, we can keep the design system consistent and allow the users to feel / see the quality of the item. this product is known for having incredibly glowy coverage and a transparent, glass-like packaging.


DESIGN GOALS
to showcase product details (include close-up shots), maintain a clean, yet playful user interface, and add more pages to the website (divide based
on makeup line and collection). i also want to include similar item recommendations and maintain a consistency in colors and the overall design system.

OUTCOME

the art direction for this project is focused on the fluid, transparent and water, replicating the package design 
for the high glow cushion.
